Position Overview 

The Product Specialist will play a key role in ensuring accurate product setup, purchasing, and distribution across the organization. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent vendor management skills, and proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and support efficient operations through accurate data entry, streamlined purchasing and receiving, and coordination with vendors, retail stores and distribution teams. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Product Building in POS: Create, configure, and maintain product listings in the POS system, ensuring accurate descriptions, pricing, compliance data, and categorization. 

  • Product Receiving: Verify and process incoming shipments, update inventory systems, and resolve discrepancies with vendors as needed. 

  • Purchasing Support: Execute light purchasing duties, including placing and tracking orders, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring timely replenishment. 

  • Order Picking: Support central distribution and wholesale operations by picking and preparing orders accurately for store fulfillment. 

  • Data Entry: Maintain accurate product, vendor, and purchasing information across all systems. 

  • Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, delivery, discrepancies, and relationship management. 

Required Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong proficiency in: 

  • POS systems 

  • Microsoft Excel (data entry, reporting, reconciliation) 

  • Metrc (seed-to-sale compliance tracking) 

  • ERP platforms 

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with: 

  • Dutchie POS 

  • Distru ERP 

  • Leaflink 

  • Background in retail, distribution, or cannabis industry operations. 

Qualifications 

  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, product management, inventory, or related roles. 

  • Experience in a regulated industry (cannabis preferred). 

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
