Position Profile

The Operations Manager, Edibles is responsible for the oversight and management of the production and compliance for the Edibles Department. One of the key objectives for this role is the continuous focus on improving both the efficiency and productivity of the department, with a plan on how to exceed goals set for the team. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead production and operational team for maximum output and efficiencies

Build and develop the strategy for efficient operations to ensure maximum capacity and no interruptions in production

Maintain a production roadmap to improve production flow and productivity, with an eye on automation and efficiency improvements

Manage our production staff by coordinating daily plans and setting employee rotations to meet and exceed goals and objectives set for the team

Overall responsibility for manufacturing safety, culture, quality and service, environmental compliance, and P&L responsibility for the division

Directly supervise kitchen and packaging agents responsible for operational activities; providing motivation, training, and development of production staff.

Actively participate in the prevention and correction of quality-related errors.

Maintain inventory par levels as determined by sales demand

Demonstrate an adequate understanding of production machinery; equipment; processing; blending; extraction; shelf-stable products, quality, and/or other requisite technical knowledge.

Responsible and accountable for quality compliance, production, and inventory control.

Remain current with industry trends, safety & requirements.

Train new and existing employees on best practices, inventory management, compliance, regulatory requirements, and safety.

Proper product & work-in-process tracking, movement, and product security

Report and maintain key performance indicators for team that are in alignment with company goals and strategies

Organize and inventory ingredients and other kitchen production supplies at the facility, in preparation for supply ordering.

Maintain laboratory notebooks, SOP documents, logs, and computer databases

Ensures that all products are properly labeled, stored, and compliant at all times

Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position supervises the edibles production team

Qualifications

2+  years of work experience in kitchen highly preferred - Follows best kitchen practices and GMP

Prior work with cannabis production highly preferred

Impeccable detail orientation, time management, project management, and organizational skills

Can carry out repetitive tasks with high level of quality

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with coworkers and management

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Valid OLCC Marijuana Workers Permit or ability to obtain prior to beginning work with the company

Valid Oregon Food Handler’s Card or ability to obtain prior to beginning work with the company

Proficient in Microsoft Office, and Excel.
